Giving is the appropriate response for the Christian. Jesus taught generosity, the Early Church practised it and thrived because of it. The Local Church exists because God’s people honour the generosity principles laid out in the Holy Scriptures. As believers it is our privilege to honour the Lord, His House and mission to further the Gospel locally and around the world through our time, talent, and treasure (finances).
The greatest gift God gave us is Jesus Christ.
Do We Have The Right Address?
We mail out the charitable donation receipts every year, but we don’t always have everyone’s address. We can’t send you a receipt if we don’t know where you live! Please send your current mailing address to giving@daystarchurch.ca if you:
- Have changed addresses recently
- Have been giving online and haven’t filled out your info on a tithing envelope
- Have been giving from a business or numbered company without a stated address
- Didn’t receive your tax receipt last year
- Are unsure if Daystar has your current address
Ways to Give
Giving and Tithing can be done in a variety of ways: Cash, cheque, or debit at the Welcome Desk in the church foyer, or online e-transfer. All donations will automatically be included in our general fund unless specifically noted in the email money transfer. There is usually a place to include a “Note to Recipient”. For all donations of over $20, a charitable givings receipt will be issued. If giving for the first time or have moved recently, please fill out a tithing envelope at the welcome desk with your mailing address. This allows us to mail you a tax receipt each year.

Give Via E-Transfer
Email Money Transfer is super easy and convenient and keeps the cost to the church at a minimum. After the initial setup in your online banking, you can make future payments in seconds!
- Login to your online banking or PayPal account
- Look for an link called “send money” or “e-Transfer”
- Add a recipient: _______ @daystarchurch.ca (see above for giving or events)
- Daystar is registered for auto-deposit; no security question/answer is required
- Confirm your info is correct and click “send”
If paying for a church event, please state what event and for who registered. There is usually a place to include a “Note to Recipient”.
Give Via Online
This is truly the easiest and best way to give. Using this safe and secure portal, you can sent one-time gifts, schedule recurring giving, and even look back on your giving history.
